Superboy and supergirl are ready for the church Halloween party. I have to say I love their posses. We had a really fun night carving pumpkins. Jojra loved getting her hands dirty but I really had to convince Aidan and Emma to get their hands dirty needless to say I idid most of the gutting of the pumpkins.

Yes that is right, SNOW in October. These picture were taken on Oct 14. We were able to make a snowman and snow angles. The kids were so excitied when they woke up that morning to find snow needles to say I was ready to go right back to bed.
Jorja's first taste of snow. She really liked it, but didn't want to stay outside for long
Our Snowman
It's hard to believe but Aidan is now in Grade 1! He is enjoying it, but finding it a little long, as he would like to stay home and play lego all day. He is doing well and has made some new friends as this year he had to go to a new school, which is awesome because it is walking distance from our house

A day on the Houseboat
We spent a wonderful day at the lake on my Aunt's Houseboat. It was a lot of fun. Emma loved going fast on the tube, Aidan had a few panic attacks, but in all said he enjoyed it. I got super sunburnt on my shoulders. It's funny how we make sure our kids are all sunscreened and then forget about ourselves. Jorja was so good but didn't really like the water, she preferred to sit in her little tent. She did however HATE her life jacket on the boat ride over. Poor Ryan had to work, but we made sure we had fun for him.

Me-Stew
I have nothing to put in my stew, you see,
Not a bone or a bean or a black-eyed pea,
So I’ll just climb in the pot to see
If I can make a stew out of me.
I’ll put in some pepper and salt and I’ll sit
In the bubbling water - I won’t scream a bit.
I’ll sing while I simmer, I’ll smile while I’m stewing,
I’ll taste myself often to see how I’m doing.
I’ll stir me around with this big wooden spoon
And serve myself up at a quarter to noon.
So bring out your stew bowls,
You gobblers and snackers.
Farewell - and I hope you enjoy me with crackers!

The kids did this poem for the talent show at the family reunion. It was so cute and they did such a good job. Plus the hats and aprons i found really looked good too.

HAWKE FAMILY REUNION
This year was the Hawke Family reunion held out at my parents ranch. It was a lot of fun. There was 99 people there and the only person we were missing was Tyrel, who is on his mission. So that was kind of cool. Right now there is 100 people in our family. There were so many kids there and they all had a lot of fun. There was always something to do.
We held an Amazing race for the adults and the older kids. Three people to a team. It was pretty cool. This was mine and my Dad's station. They had to walk across boards with out touching the ground while being sprayed with the fire man hose. My Dad loved that part. Originally it was suppose to be with water guns but he fond a fire man hose and improvised a little. The events in the games ranged from word searches to moving pipe, shooting with a bow and arrow, to throwing my uncle off the water tramopline in the middle of the pond. It was a lot of fun.
This is Ryan trying to walk across the boards. He was pretty happy in the end as he team won the whole race
This was the water trampoline. It was a new addition this year and a big hit with all the kids, Big and small. We had a wonderful weekend. It was so nice to catch up with everyone and see how all the kids had grown.

These are some pictures of Aidan. He really enjoyed playing soccer this year. And playing in the mud with his friend at the water park. This year for his 6th birthday he wanted a lego starwars cake and I don't think I did that bad.
We have had a few days where Aidan has been superboy, this trend comes a goes each week.

This was the night of Prom... my baby brother has finally graduated. Mom MADE his tux, it looked great. And his date was beautiful. These are all the grandkids, it was so fun to get together. It's hard to believe there are no more kids at home.
